About Our Plans

CellMed Health was established in 2010 with 60 000 members and has 6 branches throughout Zimbabwe.

CellMed Health Medical Fund has 4 plans.
The Sage Plan and the Diaspora Plan are suitable for individuals.
Additionally, the Premium USD Plan as well as the Value Plan are suitable for groups.

Individual Options

Sage Plan

The CellMed Sage Plan medical aid is suitable for individuals aged 65 to 74. It is an affordable option compared to medical insurance and one of the very few medical aids available to over 65s in Zimbabwe, with generous benefits.
No medicals are called for unless requested by underwriters on application.
Premiums come in at $216 – subject to underwriting.

Diaspora Plan

The Diaspora Plan is suitable for individuals 64 and younger.
There are instances when if there are three or more members under 64 – an older may be added.

There are 3 options but Clover is the most recommended as this will cover the best private hospitals. Medicals are generally not called for unless requested by the underwriters.

Group Options

Premium USD Plan

The Premium USD Plan group plan has 6 options and a minimum membership of 5 or more for members on the top three plans: Superior Plus, Supreme Plus and Universal Plus
These 3 plans are suitable for those requiring the best private hospitals.
One can interchange benefits for different classes of workers.

Essential Plus, Vital Plus and Prime Plus Plans
Essential Plus, Vital Plus and Prime Plus plans cater for groups of twenty or more;
hospitalisation does not include the top private hospitals.
Substantial discounts are available on bigger groups on all plans of 20 or more members for exceptional value.

CellMed Value Plan

The CellMed Value Plan caters for companies with a limited budget at $15 per person. Hospitalisation is limited and does not include the top private hospitals. Hospitals serving hospital groups are stated.
The benefit is that waiting periods are waived for groups of 20 or more (see brochure for details).
A unique benefit of this plan is that it offers a Bereavement Token.
This plan is exceptional value for money.

All Plans

Unique to all CellMed Health Medical Fund plans is the $100 Hospital Cashback daily payout (After 48 hours).
There is also a $50 cashback payout for children that are members.
